Ton class sweeper, 1:38

Postby garym on Tue Mar 08, 2011 9:50 am

Hi all, just aqurired a 1:38 TON class hull from a mate, thanks Colin. An unusual scale for which there are very few fittings ( unless you know different) so gonna be mostly scratch built fittings.

Made a start on the running gear (sitek stuff) fantastic quality, also cut the decks to size and fitted supports. Will post images of progress tonight, thanks for looking.

Just a small update on the build so far, not very exciting I'm afraid..... just 1 major blip I placed the A frames in the wrong way round and they would have ripped the hull to bits trying to remove them so they have too stay as is.

Nice start mate, nice looking props on her. Intresting scale, you maybe able to get some fittings off westbourne and cornwall models as they do a load of generic fittings

11 days to go
